Every Month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Ladies, have you gotten a mammogram yet? Breast cancer is a serious, life-changing, disease. 12.6% of all women will get breast cancer, and every 13 minutes a woman dies of breast cancer. Personally, I was shocked to read some of the facts. One in particular talks about the age you should start a yearly mammogram and it’s not 35 like I’ve always heard. It is 20 years old! I’m already behind. So with reading the facts, I’ve made my mammogram appointment – have you yet? Call the doctor, life can always wait for an important doctor’s appointment. Have I mentioned the first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present? Get your mammogram today. And yes, it is THAT important.
