In the wake of Kanye West's stage-crashing interruption of Taylor Swift's Best Female Video acceptance speech at Sunday's Video Music Awards, the rapper spent the next two days apologizing profusely for the incident. The mea culpas included a pair of blog posts, an appearance on the premiere of "The Jay Leno Show" and a personal phone call to Swift herself after she told the hosts of "The View" that he had not attempted to get in touch with her. He otherwise took a break from his personal blog, which he typically updates half a dozen times a day.

On Thursday he broke his Internet silence and resumed posting his regular collection of fashion endorsements, links to info about art installations and cool architecture photos. The only personal note in any of the posts was one with the headline "Another day in the Truman Show AKA my life!" The entire content of the post was an image of the poster for the 1998 Jim Carrey movie "The Truman Show," which was about a man who is unaware that his entire life has been constructed for a television show.

Earlier, Kanye deleted both of his apologies to Swift (his initial all-caps post and the second one, where he compared himself to Ben Stiller in "Meet the Parents").

Conversely, while Swift has appeared on TV and in public since the VMA incident, she has maintained cyber silence, having not updated her Twitter since before the show began Sunday night. Swift is normally a regular user of the micro-blogging service, but as of press time, her account has now been dormant for five days.

Pop diva Mariah Carey has just been chosen as the newest face of Italian fashion house Pinko, following in the footsteps of supermodels Naomi Campbell, Elle Macpherson, and Eva Herzigova.

No details are available as of yet about how much the curvy singer’s deal with Pinko deal was worth, but a spokesperson for Pinko said "It's a very, very big deal."

Carey was in Britain yesterday to fulfill her promotional duties, wearing a pair of gold stitched jeans specially designed for her at the launch of the clothing line in Knightsbridge, London. She told the photographers, reporters and fans who mobbed her that she has always been a fan of Pinko’s, and that she was flattered by the Italian fashion house’s choice of her as their newest model.

Shot by photographer Michelangelo Di Battista, the new ad campaign which will feature the pop superstar is set to be featured in 750 stores worldwide.

Ellen DeGeneres is the new face of US cosmetics giant CoverGirl. She made this revelation in her own funny way during the season premiere of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ellen started the show by saying that she had a special announcement to make. "You know how I always like to share what's going on in my life with you all, and I was going to give you some news and, unfortunately, rumors started circulating all over the Internet", the 50-year-old talk show host said. "I am here to set the record straight right now. I am not pregnant. It just turned out to be a bump. I went and had it checked out".

Then she announced, "I am the new face of CoverGirl".

She has already done her first photo shoot, and will soon be shooting commercials for the makeup giant. The campaign is set to launch after the first of the year, DeGeneres says.

This is a New Year which will create new creative juices in my brain. Every cell will be used to it's capacity. I have been working with some amazing models lately and awaiting what will come about this year of 2009. I have renewed my site and plan on updating more than ever before. I enjoy working with new faces and those who are serious about what they do. I really want to focus on my craft even more this year, for I have nothing holding me back. If you would like to join me on this journey then come along now. Don't wait nor second guess yourself. You hold the power to your own destiny. Don't ever forget that.
